A ball is dropped from the top of a cliff, the height of the cliff is 60 m.

A) what is the velocity of the ball 3s later?

B) how many seconds does the ball take to hit the ground ?

    A) velocity = g t = 9.8 x3 = 29.4 m/sec.

    B) time to reach ground t = sq.root( 2h/g ) = sq.root ( 2x60 / 9.8 ) = 3.5 sec.
