Is it rude to reply to someone that they need to leave?

Bob visits somewhere open to the public on his own free will. Jane, one of the occupants, asks him if he needs help; he politely declines. He continues browsing for a long enough time. Jane asks him another question that’s similar to if he needed help. Based on his answer, he realizes that Jane may be implying/hinting that he pretty much has no reason to be there. He nervously volunteers to leave. Jane who happens to be standing next to the door then replies gently while pointing to it, “Yeah, you probably need to leave” while he walks past her. Was Jane rude to Bob?

To be more clear: Jane works there. She's not a visitor.

How many versions of this scenario are you going to post?

Being so obsessed by a perfectly ordinary situation, which most people would have forgotten in a minute, is not normal.

    Maybe get some counselling?

If a man said that to a woman it would be incredibly rude, but I'm not sure about the other way around.
