Physics Equation?

A physics student decides to calculate how long it would take a penny to fall from

the Eiffel tower, 324 m. How long should it take for the penny to hit the ground, neglecting air

resistance?

    Without drag force the penny will cover a distance of D = 1/2 gT^2 and take T = sqrt(2D/g) seconds to do it.  So T = sqrt(2*324/9.8) = 8.13 seconds.  ANS.
