Is special assistance available at Bangalore Airport, travelling to Delhi with 2 years old child, for carrying luggage to departure gate ?

After you've checked in you shouldn't be carrying an awful lot of luggage. A carry-on for yourself and a bag of stuff for the child: that's it. You can put those two bags and the child into a trolley and push them yourself.

I note one answer, clearly from an Indian person, talks about "coolies". It may be OK to use the word locally, but be careful not to use it in Europe or the USA where it's considered rather offensive. We would say "porters".

The word "coolie" conjures up an image of a thin, malnourished man, half naked, carrying a huge burden on his back and shoulders.

you do NOT carry luggage to departure gate

Luggage is always checked-in at the ticket

counter of the airline and bag tag is given

You only carry a small hand bag measuring

    22 x 14 x 9 inches into the plane

Coolie is available outside the airport

not inside to carry heavy luggage

Special assistance means wheel chair will be

provided to passenger with airport attendant

    for the elderly

To avail it you must mention at the time of booking ticket

Can you HIRE a porter? YES

Will Airline staff help you? MAYBE

If you want extra help why do you not ask for it when making your booking.

Do you also need help at destination?
