    a) Just add the numbers:

        + 1 2 3

        1 2 3 4

        2 3 4 5

        4 5 6 7

    b) count how many fours out of all the numbers so:

        Probability of scoring a 4: 2/9

Now I’m beginning to understand why the rest of the world is laughing at the American education system.

You don’t know how to add.

To find the probability, you could how many 4s are in the table and divide it by the total number. It’s a 3x3 square so there’s 9 possible numbers.
