Why do SOME republicans idolize Trump so much?

They act like he's some type of perfect role model.

Righties are suspicious, skeptical, cynical by nature which is why they gravitate to conspiracy theories. So when a guy like trump comes along, confirming their suspicions, they don't care how false it is because they have to admit being wrong. Look up cult mentality ... trump is the charismatic leader in the equation. Hitler was a role model to birds of a feather too.

No, you mistake Republicans who support Trump's policies for approving of his rhetoric or personality. Most of us would much rather he was a "nicer" person, but you can still approve of what he accomplished as President. The way I look at it, is I don't vote for a drinking buddy but a guy who does what he promises.

Google Trump's accomplishments. that's who Republicans really are. that's who the 75M Americans who voted for him are. and that's what America is supposed to be.

Those who idolise Trump cannot be considered Republicans any longer. They are Trump supporters and that is that.

The vast majority of Republicans have had the sense to accept the will of the American people and are prepared to give Biden a chance, even some of them actually voted for Biden because they realised that Trump was destroying the country and alienating many of Americas allies.

Added to this is his unforgivable non action during the Covid outbreak. He did NOTHING to try to protect his fellow Americans and as a result 1000s died when he could have saved them but simply refused to do so.

Covid does not pick and choose who it takes and it took Democrats, Republicans and also Trump supporters.

Many Republicans believe the same things that he believes - some take it to the extreme.  What we think is that most other countries buy the products of their country, even if they cost a little more.  This is especially true of cars.  Most other countries do not allow unlimited trespassing.  Most other countries do not go into unsustainable debt so that they can send trillions of dollars to countries that hate them.

It isn’t that they see him as a role model.  It’s more that they are angry and fearful and Trump expresses their grievances and makes it more acceptable to blame and insult others rather then take responsibility and leadership to work toward solutions.

President Trump is one of the best modern day Presidents. He received more legitimate votes than any other President in history! President Trump had the highest stock market in history, lowest unemployment levels recorded for many states, lowered taxes for all Americans, reduced government regulations, had some of the lowest energy costs in the modern era, and kept America safe!

It literally took massive voter fraud and economic sabotage by the Democratic Party to overturn the rightful President.
