It depends on the future. If we reach a point where living conditions regress because of a human cause (i.e. global warming or nuclear war), yes. If living conditions change and improve through technologies and discoveries then we will most likely be referred to as primitive instead of ignorant.

Not the way our education system is going, no. We're ignorant compared to the generation of the '50's and earlier.
